Product types are useful to filter out irrelevant brands and items or to quickly build competitive sets.
What are some examples?
For example, if your brand makes muffins, you will find your data in the Baked Goods subcategory – along with bagels, bread, pies, etc. Using the Product Type attribute, you can drill down and separate brands and items that make muffins and get a sense of how the muffin market is growing.
