Meet Jay

Jay brings more than 25 years of experience in the information and data analytics industry to the role and a proven ability to scale complex business models and strategically accelerate growth and innovation. He is also a long-time champion of the natural products industry and holds a personal passion for empowering the health and wellbeing of people, communities, and the planet through informed, sustainable consumption.
Prior to joining SPINS, Jay served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at IQVIA (NYSE:IQV), where he led the U.S.-based data and technology business, overseeing more than 1,300 employees as well as a range of adjacent functions including marketing, sales, and portfolio strategy.
Jay Margolis was named Chief Executive Officer of SPINS in July 2023.

Dan Buckstaff

Meet Dan

As Chief Marketing Officer, Dan Buckstaff ensures SPINS is poised to grow across new verticals and build relationships with retailers, CPG manufacturers, brokers, and the financial investment community. Dan leverages the power of integrated marketing and organization-wide collaboration to deliver a unified message to clients and strengthen SPINS’ position in the market. Most recently, Dan was the CMO of SaaS organization LiveRamp and has built data and technology businesses as an entrepreneur, where he led their evolution to multi-billion-dollar public companies.

Anu Goel

Anu Goel serves as the Chief Customer Officer at SPINS, where he leads the charge in cultivating exceptional customer experiences. Through his oversight of SPINS' consulting practice, consumer insights team, and financial partners group, Anu ensures that every aspect of the company's operations is finely tuned to prioritize customer satisfaction. With a rich background spanning over two decades, Anu has honed his expertise in crafting strategies that elevate brands and retailers to success. His unwavering commitment to customer-centricity drives him to deliver unparalleled solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of SPINS' clients. Before joining SPINS, Anu held pivotal leadership roles at Brand Equity Ventures, McKinsey & Company, and Beam, Inc., where he solidified his reputation as a visionary in the industry. Anu holds bachelor’s degrees in economics and engineering from The University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

He continues to harness his passion and knowledge to champion the importance of a strong customer experience in driving business growth and prosperity.

Andrew Henkel

President, Retail

As SPINS' President of Retail, Andrew Henkel's commitment to enhancing partnerships with retailers is unwavering. With a visionary approach, he leads the Retail team, fostering collaborative strategies. His adept leadership ensures SPINS innovates, delivering tailored solutions meeting retailers' evolving needs, driving sustained growth.

Andrew's 25 years of experience in CPG and retail, including at McKinsey, PepsiCo, Kraft Foods, and Leo Burnett, provides invaluable insights. His expertise navigates retail complexities, driving SPINS' initiatives with precision. Andrew's strategic acumen crafts bespoke solutions, addressing immediate challenges and paving the way for long-term success.

Under Andrew's stewardship, SPINS sets new standards in retail engagement, fostering innovation and collaboration. His dedication and passion for empowering retailers underscore SPINS' commitment to delivering unmatched value and impact in the retail landscape.

Hannah Law

Senior Vice President, Chief of Staff

Meet Hannah

Hannah is SVP, Chief of Staff at SPINS and is responsible for leading a range of strategic and operational initiatives designed to accelerate growth and expand value for customers.
Hannah has 20 years of brand, strategy, and operations leadership experience across a range of sectors, including data analytics, healthcare, retail, and consulting. She has a proven ability to build and lead high performing teams, drive organizational transformation, and bring forward the power of strategic storytelling to create positive change in communities. Prior to joining SPINS Hannah lead U.S. Marketing, Communications, and Thought Leadership at IQVIA (IQV) and was responsible for establishing and executing a comprehensive content strategy and operations organization to build influence and opportunity in areas of strategic growth and topical importance.
Hannah is a longtime champion of health and wellbeing organizations, and currently serves on the Midwest chapter of Peer Health Exchange. She earned her MBA from the Hult International Business School in Shanghai, China, and her AB in History from Harvard University.

Gotham Majumdar

Chief Product & Technology Officer

Meet Gotham

As SPINS' most senior Technology and Product leader, Gotham Majumdar leverages his experience developing and coordinating strategies that optimize growth. His ability to unify product development, engineering and design talent to focus on data approaches, IT strategy and delivery platforms results in exceptional customer experiences. Gotham brings expertise in digital and technical applications that help modernize SPINS programs for internal and external users. Before joining SPINS, Gotham spent 15 years working for IBM where he held various positions including CTO for the CIO organization, technical executive with IBM Services, and his most recent role, as vice president and distinguished engineer leading the digital commerce & growth/ecosystems engineering organization. Prior to joining IBM, Gotham had his own software consulting practice and he worked with clients such as CITI, Seagram, Eclaro and IBM.

Evan Makela

General Counsel

Meet Evan

Evan Makela started as General Counsel with SPINS in early 2014. He manages all of the legal aspects of the company’s business, helps structure mutually beneficial relationships with SPINS’ many strategic business partners, advises on risk management across the company, and co-leads the shared services team by providing support to the People Operations team. Evan previously served as General Counsel at Rewards Network, where he gained experience in data security, privacy and data licensing issues, and risk management. His past experience also includes working as an associate at a law firm advising a range of clients from start-ups to public companies in information technology licensing, mergers and acquisitions, and securities issues.

Tushar Pandit

Tushar's academic credentials are equally impressive, having earned his MBA from the prestigious Ivey Business School. Furthermore, he holds several esteemed certifications, including CEC, SHRM-SCP, GPHR, CHRL, and CHRP, underscoring his commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Before her tenure at SPINS, Suzy served in sales leadership at CareerBuilder and co-owned a thriving design business, honing her expertise across diverse sectors. Her expertise and passion for natural products, coupled with her deep-rooted understanding of the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) landscape, have positioned her as a sought-after public speaker. She frequently graces industry events, such as Naturally Network, captivating audiences with her insights and accomplishments in leadership across multiple domains.
