The Mayor, World Business Chicago, FamilyFarmed, and members of the press officially welcome SPINS to Chicago’s River North neighborhood, a move giving the company greater access to top talent to continue its impressive growth.
CHICAGO, IL – On Friday, November 6th, the office was a buzz as Mayor Rahm Emanuel joined SPINS’ Owner & CEO, Tony Olson, to announce the opening of the company’s new corporate headquarters, which have relocated from Schaumburg to the city of Chicago.
“SPINS sees what many companies are seeing in Chicago – our unparalleled workforce and world-class transportation systems are a recipe for long-term success,” said Mayor Emanuel. “I welcome SPINS to Chicago and look forward to watching them grow for years to come.”
“We’re pleased to announce that SPINS is planting roots in Chicago. SPINS is at the center of many of today’s hottest growth sectors, including Big Data, Health, Sustainability and Digital Technology. Being located in Chicago provides us with greater access to top talent as we continue to accelerate growth and add new employees and capabilities.
SPINS is committed to increasing our level of impact in helping accelerate the growth of the natural, organic and specialty products industry. Our move helps lay a stronger foundation for the next generation of growth as we further build our Business Intelligence, Analytics and Professional Services solutions and the launch of SPINS Ventures, focused on developing high-impact B2B and B2C digital applications to our industry partners. We look forward to introducing new and innovative products and services to help advance the Natural Channel in the near future.”
– Tony Olson, CEO, SPINS
SPINS’ move further establishes Chicago’s growing strategic role in these sectors. The city stands poised to become the country’s hub of health and technology as it continues to convene fast-growing companies that are changing the health and wellness landscape in Chicago. FamilyFarmed’s move across the street from SPINS further ensures that the 200 block of Hubbard will be the focal point of food innovation in the city.
“SPINS brings together the food, technology, and health/sustainability sectors, all of which are thriving in Chicago,” said World Business Chicago President & CEO Jeff Malehorn. “Chicago is an ideal location for the next phase of SPINS’ growth and we look forward to continuing to work together in the years to come.”
