Chicago-Based SPINS Offers Another 100 Jobs to Workforce in Just Over a Year
Chicago – August 30, 2018 – SPINS®, the leading provider of retail consumer insights, analytics, and consulting for the Natural, Organic, and Specialty Products Industries, announces record growth in personnel over the past year.
In March 2017, SPINS announced an expanded workforce of over 200 employees, with plans to close out the year with an additional 50 new hires. Since this announcement, the firm has hired more than 100 people. SPINS expects to close out this year with well over 300 employees, who will enjoy competitive total compensation and an exceptional corporate wellness program known as Vibrancy360.
“SPINS is creating more jobs for Chicago residents and contributing to Chicago’s growing economy,” said Mayor Emanuel. “For companies like SPINS that are looking to hire the best and brightest in a city with a thriving, dynamic, and vibrant tech scene, Chicago is the future.”
SPINS’ Vibrancy360 initiative offers employees app-based access to fitness and circuit trainings, yoga classes, massages, health & wellness product and cooking demonstrations, and much more, empowering them to live their most vibrant lives.
SPINS team members frequently serve the local Chicago community together as part of Vibrancy360’s Inspire initiative. Most recently, in June, nearly 30 SPINS team members participated in Chicago Cares’ 2018 Serve-a-thon, the city’s largest single day of community service. Ten of SPINS’ employees participated as team leaders, helping to organize the efforts of over 100 total volunteers from across the city to beautify the grounds, paint several interior spaces, build benches, and create art and décor pieces for Percy L. Julian High School in Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood.
Another way that SPINS demonstrates its commitment to service is through its partnership with the Salt and Light Coalition, a Chicago-based nonprofit organization that leverages the power of yoga, fitness, and faith to heal and empower women survivors of trafficking. As part of his commitment to corporate citizenship in Chicago and around the world, SPINS CEO, Tony Olson, along with this wife, Dr. Izabel Olson, Founder and Executive Director of Salt and Light Coalition, announced the launch of Salt and Light Academy, a school and orphanage, in Yangon, Myanmar.
