10 Woman-Led Brands to Support During Women’s History Month

In honor of Women’s History Month, we’ve gathered 10 women owned brands worth celebrating! From snacks to sweets and everything in between, these talented women are shaking up the health food channel. Founder Shelby Taylor recognized the challenge of putting a healthy meal on the table that everyone would enjoy, so she turned her family’s favorite pasta into a superfood by producing it with only two wholesome ingredients: organic chickpeas and lentils.

Ethel’s Baking Co.

Ethel’s Baking Co. was founded in 2011 by Jill Bommarito who wanted to create a decadent product that also happened to be gluten free. With celiac disease common in her family, Jill saw a window of opportunity to serve her family treats they would love and that would love them back.

Torill’s Table

Based on a traditional Norwegian recipe, Torill Myre has developed her waffle mix to be both delicious and healthy. Torill’s Table waffles are definitely a comfort food with real health benefits, made with whole wheat flour, oatmeal, flaxseed meal and ground almonds.

Callie's Hot Little Biscuit

Carrie Morey founded her handmade biscuit business in 2005 as Callie’s Charleston Biscuits. Her goal was to make the tender, buttery, made-by-hand biscuits of her mother accessible across the country. Over 15 years later, Callie’s goes by a new name, Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit, and is widely recognized as an iconic Southern brand with national retail exposure.

When Nichole and Trish met, they instantly shared a goal of making it easy for everybody to eat everywhere. As the mom of two boys with Celiac disease, Gail Becker tried desperately to find nutritious, gluten-free options that weren’t filled with fat, sugar, salt and calories. After making her own cauliflower pizza at home, she saw a window of opportunity. Knowing she probably wasn’t alone, she founded CAULIPOWER to create cauliflower pizza crusts, tortillas, sweet potato toasts, and more.
