SPINS and Sprouts Announce Partnership

SCHAUMBURG, IL August 4, 2011 – On the heels of its recent merger with Henry’s and Sun Harvest Farmers Markets, Sprouts Farmers Market today announced a new partnership with SPINS LLC, the leading information and services provider for the natural, organic and specialty products industry. 

Sprouts is now one of the largest and fastest growing retailers in the country, with projected annual revenues in excess of $1 billion and a steady stream of new store openings.  Despite its size, Sprouts provides its shoppers with an unconventional shopping experience likened to that of a farmer’s market , offering a wide selection of natural and organic grocery and baked goods, local produce, and fresh meats and seafood at remarkably low prices. 

SPINS will support Sprouts in its merchandising decisions and in expanding its category management practices.  While the two companies will collaborate to find the optimal assortment for the retailer, Sprouts will maintain the integrity of its diverse product blend that ha s made its stores so successful, and continue to offer clients the products unique to their local communities.  Additionally, a full time, dedicated SPINS business consultant will be hired to work with Sprouts in its Phoenix corporate offices to ensure efficient category management and identify opportunities for its 100+ retail locations.
