Standard Retailer Report Set

 

SPINS provides the following kinds of reports for all our Retailer data suppliers:

Category Topline Reports (Back to Top) (Table of Contents)

  • Topline reports provide totals for every Category within SPINS' Categorization scheme
  • for the time period of the given report (4, 12, 24 or 52 Weeks)
  • for both your store(s) and Total US SPINSscan. The report is ranked in descending dollar sales on your store(s).
  • with the following measure set: $ Volume, Year Ago $, $ Growth, Unit Volume, Year Ago Units & Unit Growth
  • Click on the link for definitions of all these measures.
  • Note: If your store(s) hasn't been part of SPINS' sample for at least 2 years, you will see no (or low) totals for your store(s) for any Year Ago and Growth vs. Year Ago measures.

Subcategory to Category (Back to Top) (Table of Contents)

  • Topline reports provide totals for every Category with all its Subcategories within SPINS' Categorization scheme
  • for the time period of the given report (4, 12, 24 or 52 Weeks)
  • for both your store(s) and Total US SPINSscan. The report is ranked in descending dollar sales on your store(s).
  • with the following measure set: $ Volume, Year Ago $, $ Growth, Unit Volume, Year Ago Units & Unit Growth
  • Click on the link for definitions of all these measures.
  • Note: If your store(s) hasn't been part of SPINS' sample for at least 2 years, you will see no (or low) totals for your store(s) for any Year Ago and Growth vs. Year Ago measures.

Brand to Category (Back to Top) (Table of Contents)

  • Brand to Category reports provide a view of Brand performance in relation to whatever Category you select. These reports include:
  • Category totals and totals for each Brand within the selected Category
  • for the time period of the given report (4, 12, 24 or 52 Weeks)
  • for both your store(s) and Total US SPINSscan. The report is ranked in descending dollar sales on your store(s).
  • with the following measure set: $ Volume, Year Ago $, $ Growth, Unit Volume, Year Ago Units & Unit Growth
  • Click on the link for definitions of all these measures.
  • Note: If your store(s) hasn't been part of SPINS' sample for at least 2 years, you will see no (or low) totals for your store(s) for any Year Ago and Growth vs. Year Ago measures.
  • Important: Brand to Category reports will prompt you for the Category and Brand(s) you want. You must make selections appropriate for the type of report you are running ie. only for Category and Brand within the Products heirarchy. Follow the link for detailed instructions on making Product selections.

Item to Category (Back to Top) (Table of Contents)

  • Item to Category reports provide a view of each Item's performance in relation to whatever Category you select. These reports include:
  • Category totals and totals for each Item within the selected Category
  • for the time period of the given report (4, 12, 24 or 52 Weeks)
  • for both your store(s) and Total US SPINSscan. The report is ranked in descending dollar sales on your store(s).
  • with the following measure set: $ Volume, Year Ago $, $ Growth, Avg Retail Price, Unit Volume, Year Ago Units, Unit Growth, Avg % ACV, Year Ago % ACV, SPP ($), Year Ago SPP ($), SPP (Units) & Year Ago SPP (Units)
  • Click on the link for definitions of all these measures.
  • Note: If your store(s) hasn't been part of SPINS' sample for at least 2 years, you will see no (or low) totals for your store(s) for any Year Ago and Growth vs. Year Ago measures.
  • Also, there will be no % ACV or SPP totals for your store(s). These measures are valid only for SPINSscan and not for individual Retailers.

  • Item to Subcategory reports provide a view of each Item's performance in relation to whatever Category and Subcategory(s) you select. These reports include:
  • Category & Subcategory totals and totals for each Item within the selected Subcategory(s)
  • for the time period of the given report (4, 12, 24 or 52 Weeks)
  • for both your store(s) and Total US SPINSscan. The report is ranked in descending dollar sales on your store(s).
  • with the following measure set: $ Volume, Year Ago $, $ Growth, Avg Retail Price, Unit Volume, Year Ago Units, Unit Growth, Avg % ACV, Year Ago % ACV, SPP ($), Year Ago SPP ($), SPP (Units) & Year Ago SPP (Units)
